01 / What connects the work

The pattern started
before AI.

Find what is missing.
Make it useful.

Across travel, strategic accounts, and technology, Jason has worked on a recurring problem: useful knowledge that is not connected to the decisions people need to make.

Sometimes the answer is a better workflow or a way to see the whole picture. Sometimes it is a personal AI, a website, or a new experience. The tool follows the problem, not the other way around.

  1. Find the real problem

Look for the missing context, disconnected information, or decision behind the request.

  2. Design what should exist

Connect the people, knowledge, and workflow before choosing the tool.

  3. Make a useful first version

Build, prototype, or work with specialists to turn the idea into something people can try.

  4. Help it become everyday work

Test it together, teach people how to use it, and refine what does not help.

Current role · Ingram Micro

Sr. Platform AI Solutions Specialist

Alongside Galavanteer, Jason works on business-side AI opportunity discovery, requirements, and adoption at Ingram Micro. His career also includes strategic account work at Amazon and commercial roles at Scandinavian Airlines and Dan Hotels.

Workflow & adoption leadershipA five-person task force. 194+ hours a month.

At Ingram Micro, Jason led the five-person Xvantage Task Force across more than ten workflow and adoption initiatives. Together, the team eliminated over 194 hours of monthly manual work across a 350-associate scope.

His contribution was connecting the problems, people, and improvement efforts. The time saving is a team result, not an individual productivity claim.

Business requirements & collaborationQuote preparation: from 30 minutes to five.

Jason conceived the Samsung ProAV bid-automation solution and co-authored its business requirements. A partner analyst built the implementation.

The resulting workflow saved 196 hours per month across a six-person team. This is a separate program from the task-force result above.

Cross-company program designHelping the Amazon Business initiative take shape.

Working at Ingram Micro alongside the account executive, Jason co-led the Amazon Business initiative. He co-led workshops in Seattle, helped shape the program's operating model, designed workflows, and trained Amazon's team to use them.

The work connected commercial requirements with a practical operating flow, with shared responsibility across the account executive and both organizations' teams.

04 / How the studio changed

Six people.
One lunch.

“I don’t believe in do-overs.
I believe in do-forwards.”Jason Baron

Galavanteer began in travel. Its move into personal AI started with something Jason had built for himself.

He called it JBot. He was tired of generic responses and wanted an assistant that could work with his writing, stories, and way of approaching a problem without making him sound like someone else.

At a conference lunch, someone asked whether he could make one for them. By the end of lunch, Jason had created six personalized AI assistants. What he had treated as a personal experiment became something other people wanted to use.

Lancelot Theobald, Jr. was part of that turning point. Jason credits Lancelot with encouraging him to share the work more widely. The lesson was not that everyone needed the same chatbot. It was that the person mattered as much as the technology.
